Jio Wi-Fi mesh router price leaked, design also seen

A Jio Wi-Fi mesh router has appeared online and information about its alleged price and dimensions has also been received. This new news has emerged amid testing of a mesh network based offering by Jio in India. This router is clearly designed by a Karnataka-based electronics manufacturer Neolync Electronics and this router is likely to work with different mesh nodes to provide better internet coverage. JioFiber customers can also get some new broadband plans, which will work with its mesh offering.

The Jio Wi-Fi Mesh Router has been found listed on the Smart Consumer website supported by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs with a price of Rs 2,499, as seen by Telecom Talk, a blog focusing on telecom. The router has a Jio logo on the top and has indicators showing Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity.

The Jio Wi-Fi mesh router appearing online is not the only gesture for operators to launch mesh service. The operator has also suggested its mesh network technology on the JioFiber site. In addition, a video has been given on YouTube since September last year, which gives a glimpse of Jio’s mesh service experience.

Similar to Jio, Airtel also recently started offering its mesh technology, which she calls Airtel Xstream Fiber Mesh. The company has partnered with Linksys to offer a mesh system with three nodes. The company has teased it to cover an area of 3,500 sq ft. Apart from this, Airtel users will have to take an annual rental plan of Rs 24,999, which comes with a broadband network.
