Jio’s cheap Android smartphones will arrive by the end of the year: report

After defeating the big companies as a telecom company, Jio has now planned to beat the smartphone maker companies. Yes, if the latest report is to be believed, Reliance Jio can launch 100 million cheap Android smartphones by the end of this year. The report cites sources that the company is going to market these smartphones with data packs, which will be introduced in December 2020 or early next year.

Citing sources in the Business Standard newspaper reported that the Reliance Jio company is preparing to make more than 100 million low-cost smartphones on the Google Android platform. Let me tell you, Reliance Jio owner Mukesh Ambani said in July that Google will build an Android operating system (OS) for low-cost 4G or 5G smartphones, which will be designed by Reliance.

Of course, whenever Jio’s new cheap Android 4G and 5G smartphones knock in the market, similarly Chinese smartphone maker brands like Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo and Vivo will face a tough challenge.

It is worth noting that Reliance launched Jio Phone in the year 2017 while presenting a similar scheme, this device provides internet service to users in feature phones. Jio phone currently has 100 million users, most of them are people who are using internet service on this phone for the first time.
