To give us a glimpse of this new redesigned storage usage section, WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo shared a screenshot. In this screenshot we can see the storage bar at the top, which gives the details of the space used by the media file shared on WhatsApp. Apart from this, a clean up option is also provided in the screenshot, in which forward and large files are listed with thumbnail view which gives users the option to delete the non-essential files to free up space.
Let me tell you, earlier the WhatsApp redesigned storage usage section came in the news in June with the option of Large Files and Forwarded Files. However, it is believed that the earlier design was not very interactive, so the company owned by Facebook has introduced it with Thambanil View this time.
Apart from the redesign in the screenshot, it also shows that the current individual chat in the Storage Usage section is listed along with its storage size. Also, it has a search option, which will help in finding a particular chat in the list.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the new feature storage usage section is currently under development and is yet to become available. Even reaching beta testers is going to take time. The screenshot shared by the site is of the Android WhatsApp app.
