Mi Smart speaker launched in India with Google Assistant support, know price and features

Mi Smart Speaker has been launched as Xiaomi’s first smart speaker in India. This new smart speaker comes with Google Assistant support, besides it has two far-field microphones. There is also a voice light on the upper part in the Mi Smart speaker, which gives a look exactly like the light ring available on the Amazon Echo speaker. Me Smart speaker has a metal mesh design, which the company says that it offers better sound experience with a premium look. With the launch of Mi Smart Speaker in India, Xiaomi aims to compete with Google Home Mini and Amazon Echo Dot in the Indian market.

Mi Smart Speaker price in India, availability

The price of Mi Smart Speaker has been fixed at Rs 3,999 in India, although it will be made available initially as an introductory price for Rs 3,499. The sale of Mi Smart Speaker will start in India from October 1, which will be available through Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores. However, after this these speakers will also be made available through offline.

The Mi Smart Speaker has a 0.7mm thin metal mesh on the upper, which comes with a matte finish. It offers both a premium look and feel. The lattice design of the speaker provides room-filling sound experience. This speaker has 12 watt 2.5 inch front firing audio driver with DTS sound. Apart from this, a touch panel has also been provided in this speaker, so that the user can control the music’s volume level, and can play and pause the music. Apart from this, you can also mute the inbuilt microphone through this display.

Xiaomi has given the Hi-Fi audio processor in Me Smart Speaker, which is made by Texas Instrument. Its job is to properly decotate the audio signal. Apart from this, this speaker also has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support. Stereo sound experience can be achieved by connecting both these smart speaker units simultaneously via Bluetooth.

The presence of Google Assistant connects the Mi Smart speaker to the Google Home app and makes it compatible with all connected devices that have Google Assistant support. Apart from this, you can also create multi-room setup on your smartphone using Google Home app. Two far-field microphones have been provided in this speaker for voice control. This speaker also supports voice commands in Hindi language.
