In September last year, 4G and 5G variants of Galaxy S20 FE were launched in the US. A month later, only its 4G variant arrived in India. Now last month, Samsung also launched the 5G variant of this phone in India. Now, according to a report by WinFuture, it wants to completely replace the South Korean giant Exynos 990 SoC Galaxy S20 FE with the Snapdragon 865 SoC 4G variant.
The report says that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G model number is SM-G780G and it will come with the specifications of the 5G variant. But it will not have Snapdragon X55 5G modem. This variant has already been listed on the company’s Scandinavian website with four color options. It has Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy and Cloud Red color options. It has shown a single storage model of 128 GB. However, nothing has been said about the price right now.
The Galaxy S20 FE lineup has become quite confusing now as many of its variants have already arrived in the market and more are yet to come. Yes, it can be inferred that Samsung is trying to remove its Exynos 990 SoC models from the market. This is also expected because the model with the Exynos processor is inferior in performance to the Snapdragon-based model. This type of report is not the first time. Earlier also the report came at the beginning of the month. But at that time it was being said that the new variant will come with Snapdragon 865 SoC and will replace the Exynos 990 model.
It is worth noting here that Samsung has not yet shared any information about the new Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. But allegedly a leak of this year’s road map of Samsung was revealed. It mentioned the FE Unpacked event and is scheduled for 19 August. Perhaps at the same time Samsung can launch its Galaxy S20 FE variant.
