Nokia may launch new flip phone soon, renders leaked

HMD Global seems to be gradually focusing on feature phones. In late 2019, the company launched the Nokia 2720 Flip, which by the name itself suggests that it was a flip phone. Now a new device appears in development. A recent report claimed that renders of a new Nokia clamshell (flip) device have surfaced on the FCC.

According to a report by NokiaPowerUser, the renders of a new Nokia device with the model number TA-1295 are listed on the site of the FCC Certification Agency of America. The render of the phone receiving the certification suggests that it will come with a flip design. The main specifications are not available in the certification, but it is known that the device will be equipped with Nano-SIM slot, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz connectivity.

The report further states that the device will support KaiOS. However, it will not support apps like Google Duo. Remind that HMD Global launched Nokia 2720 Flip in December 2019 and this phone also works on KaiOS. This phone included the Kai App Store and some OTT apps came pre-installed.

Now that Google apps are not pre-loaded, there is some indication that the upcoming feature phone can be launched in China, where Google apps are banned. Certification shows that this phone coming with a folding design will have a single camera and the Yug will be equipped with 1500mAh battery. The model number of this battery will be BV-6A.
