Lu Weibing has started teasing its information even before the launch of Redmi K40 series on 25 February. The executive has shared a teaser photo on the Chinese micro-blogging site, which will reveal the triple rear camera setup. Two large sensors, one large sensor and flash can be seen in this picture. It is located in all the camera modules, which is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 11 in view. As can be seen in the teaser picture, the launch event will be held on February 25, which will start at 7:30 pm local time (5 pm Indian time).
In another post, Weibing has shared that the 40 Series of Redmi will be the first such Redmi series to be equipped with Snapdragon 888 processor. At present, it is not clear in which variants of this series the latest Qualcomm processor is going to be given. However, earlier Tipster had suggested that Redmi K40 Pro smartphone will be given Snapdragon 888 processor, while Vanilla Redmi K40 phone will be equipped with Snapdragon 870 processor.

Apart from the processor, both phones have a 6.81 inch display in the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro, which can give a resolution of 1,440×3,200 pixels. This phone can come with a hole-punch cutout for selfie camera. The new teaser for photography is different from the old leaks. In the old leaks, it was said that both these phones will be equipped with quad rear camera setup, but triple rear camera setup can be seen in 40 variants of the latest Redmi. Apart from this, Redmi’s 40 phones can be equipped with 4,500 mAh battery and Redmi’s 40 Pro phone with 5,000 mAh battery.
