OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T get new updates, this special feature added to the camera

OnePlus 5 and 5T is getting a new OxygenOS 10.0.1 update, which fixes many problems with these older devices. OnePlus worked on this update after users reported several problems with OxygenOS 10. The company assured that the product teams are working on this update at full speed. Both of these phones launched in 2017 received Android 10 update in May this year. With the new update September 2020 Android Security Patch improves many system bugs (problems) and improves the camera.

The news of the new update was shared via a post on the OnePlus community page created for the OnePlus 5 Series. The post states that it is being rolled out in a phased manner to ensure that the update does not cause any problems. Apart from this, it has also been reported that in the beginning this update will be available only to select users, while all others will get it a few days later. It has also been clarified that using VPN will not help in getting it sooner, as the update is not for any particular country.

OnePlus 5, 5T Oxygen OS 10.0.1 update changelog

The changelog shows that the latest update to OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T brings several system fixes. It also gets the September 2020 Android Security patch, but the GMS package has been updated till August 2020.

One of the major improvements found in the latest OxygenOS 10.0.1 update for OnePlus 5 and 5T is electronic image stabilization, which adds improvements to camera capabilities by reducing the possibility of capturing blurry photos. OnePlus 5T has also added an option to enable Android 10 back gestures that swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
