OnePlus 8T to be fully charged in just 39 minutes, Warp Charge 65 technology announced

OnePlus 8T will be launched with a 4,500mAh capacity battery supporting 65W Warp Charg technology, OnePlus confirmed this via a post on its community forum. This will be a major upgrade compared to the OnePlus 8, as the company has previously used a maximum of 30 watts fast charging technology. In OnePlus 8 series, the company has also used the Warp Charge 30T. OnePlus 8T is set to launch in India on 14 October. The launch price of the upcoming OnePlus phone is being said to be higher than the OnePlus 8, but it seems that the company is going to bring several major upgrades in the phone to justify the higher price.

OnePlus 8T battery specifications

According to the forum post, the OnePlus 8T with a 4,500mAh battery will be fully charged in just 39 minutes and about 58 percent in just 15 minutes, all thanks to the company’s new 65 watt warp charging technology. Rumors had already suggested the OnePlus 8T’s battery capacity and new charging technology.

OnePlus recently teased that the OnePlus 8T will come with dual-cell batteries. This means that each battery will have a capacity of 2,250mAh and a total of two cells. In addition to battery information, OnePlus has revealed that the Warp Charge 65 power adapter supporting fast charging on the OnePlus 8T will come with a dual-end USB Type-C port design and support up to 45 W PD fast charge. The charger will come with backward compatibility and will support previous charging protocols. This means that apart from charging the OnePlus 8T, it can also be used to charge all other OnePlus devices.

OnePlus has also stated that the company is using an additional encryption chip on this charger and cable as well as 12 temperature sensors to safely charge the OnePlus 8T. The company has also reported that a new heat despiration system will be included in the new OnePlus phone to maintain the charging temperature.
