XDA Developers has extensively explored the camera app within the OxygenOS 11 Beta for the OnePlus 8 Series. There are some lines in the code that show that OnePlus 8K is working on 960fps video recording. Let me tell you, currently the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Series comes with Spectra 480 ISP, which records 720p 960fps video. The latest IP at 8K resolution is capable of managing only 30fps. To enable 960fps in 8k video recording, OnePlus will need to integrate separate hardware and software into the phone. This feature can be seen in future phones that will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Next Generation processor and ISP.
Apart from this, the Unreleased OnePlus Buds Z is also mentioned in the /vendor/etc/dolby/dax-default.xml file of the open beta update. It is believed that it will be the successor of OnePlus Buds TWS, which was launched in July this year. However, more information about these buds is not found in the code.
It is worth noting that the picture of OnePlus 8T was recently leaked in the developer preview of the upcoming Android 11 for OnePlus 8 series. At the same time, in the Oxygen 11 Open Beta 1 update, the render file has been renamed to “oneplus_kebab.webp” in the Settings app. Strings inside the Settings app indicate that the OnePlus 8T is codenamed kebab in the regions of Canada and India, while the codename for the USA is kebabt.
