OnePlus phones will no longer have pre-installed Facebook apps: report

OnePlus phones will no longer come with pre-installed apps and service owned by Facebook, the latest report claimed. OnePlus faced criticism when it started pre-installing Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and other Facebook services on its phone a few months ago. The report says that a company spokesperson has confirmed that the recently launched OnePlus 8T could be the beginning of this decision, pre-installed Facebook apps and service in OnePlus 8T and OnePlus smartphones starting after that Will not exist.

The Input report, citing a OnePlus spokesperson, claimed that the smartphone maker’s phones will no longer come with pre-loaded Facebook-owned apps and services. The spokesperson has said that the only third party app coming in OnePlus smartphone will be Netflix.

According to Android Police report, OnePlus faced Facebook bloatware backlash in all phones, including OnePlus Nord, OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.
