The listing of the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) certification site of Indonesia was first reported by 91mobiles. The alleged listing clearly states that the “OnePlus Watch” will be a ‘low-power, short-range’ device and has been dispensed as a “wearable watch”.
A TechRadar report states that a former OnePlus employee has confirmed that the company has been actively working on smartwatches for the past one year.
The upcoming OnePlus Watch has been certified, so it can be launched by the end of this year. However, there is also a possibility that OnePlus may also launch its first smartwatch with the OnePlus 8T smartphone.
Let me tell you, this is not the first time when the launch of OnePlus Watch is being speculated. Earlier in the year 2015, it was also reported that the company is going to launch its own smartwatch, but this plan never materialized. In 2016, OnePlus CEO Peter Lau also informed that the company has completed the design of the smartwatch.
