OnePlus Watch will be launched soon, design appeared in new patent

The fans of OnePlus Watch are eagerly waiting. In December last year, the company’s co-founder and CEO Pete Lau confirmed that OnePlus Watch would officially launch in early 2021. There have already been many leaks regarding this upcoming smartwatch from OnePlus and now the latest design patent filed by the company has appeared in the latest leak. The picture shown in the patent shows that the OnePlus Watch will come with an option of two straps. It is also clear that its dial will be round.

German publication Techniknews has patented OnePlus Watch. This patent is registered at the German Patent and Trademark Office (GPTO). The design of the watch can be seen clearly in the patent. The watch can come with the option of two straps, one of which can be a sports version, the strap will be made of silicon and the other can be a leather version. Its dial will be round. The design largely resembles the Samsung Galaxy Watch. Two physical buttons can be seen to the right of the circular dial. There seems to be a presence of sensors at the back. These will certainly include a heart rate sensor as well. This can include a quick release mechanism to easily replace the strap.

The patent does not include any information other than this. Talking about a recent news about OnePlus Watch, remind that OnePlus Watch models have allegedly received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. Two models of watch have been certified on the certification site.

An earlier report revealed that the upcoming OnePlus Smartwatch could be called OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Watch RX. This was anticipated by a code included in the OnePlus Health app. It was then speculated that the OnePlus Watch could come with a square dial and the OnePlus Watch RX would have a round dial – much like the Oppo Watch RX.
