Poco is offering a 2-month extended warranty on smartphones in India, know which customers are on offer!

Poco is extending its customers a two-month warranty in India. For customers whose warranty was to end in May and June, Poco is extending it for two months in India. The company has taken this step in view of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in India. The company also said that it will not launch any new devices in the country in the month of May and will keep informing its consumers from time to time about upcoming new launches or developments.

Poco gave information about this extended warranty on Twitter. This warranty is being given to the same customers whose warranty of the smartphone was going to expire in the month of May and June. Due to the second wave of Corona, lockdown has been imposed at many places in the country. In view of this, the company has taken this step.

In a press release, Poco said, “We are reiterating again that nothing is more important to us than the happiness of our employees, consumers, members of the Poco family, and everyone else who is associated with us.”

Regarding their upcoming launch events, Poco said, “After deliberation, we have decided not to hold any launch in May 2021”. The company continued, “We are prohibiting all new launches until the situation gets better.”

This is not the first time that a company is offering increased warranty on its products due to COVID-19. Earlier in the year 2020, many other brands gave extended warranty of up to 75 days on their products. OnePlus is one of those brands that not only extended the warranty but also extended the return and replacement period of their devices from 15 to 30 days. Apart from this, the company also arranged for free two-way shipping for all returns, repairs and replacements. Brands that gave extended warranties in 2020 included Samsung, Nokia, Lenovo, and Motorola.
