According to analysis agency Sensor Tower, Honor of Kings has been the highest-grossing mobile game in January 2021. PUBG Mobile has been ranked second. These data have been collected from 1 January to 21 January 2021. Players spent $ 267.3 million (about Rs 194 crore) on the game Honor of Kings, developed and published by Tencent Games, a 22 percent growth compared to January 2020, according to the report. Surprisingly, China accounts for 97 percent of this revenue.
At the same time, players spent $ 259 million (about Rs 188 crore) on Tencent’s second popular Battle Royale game PUBG Mobile. This is a 26 percent increase year-on-year. China accounts for 60 percent of this revenue and the rest is from other countries. Let us know that there is a huge user base of the game in India and this game is currently facing a ban in the country. There is no doubt that if the game was not banned in India, it could have become the top game of the list.
Sony’s Fate / Grand Order game is at number three on the list and miHoYo’s Genshin Impact at number four. Also at number five is Roblox Corporation’s Roblox game. All these games have been making their place in the list of top grossing games for the past several months.
Genshin Impact is not a new game, the players spent $ 153.4 million (about Rs 111 crore) in January 2021 over the game launched in September last year.
