A 16-year-old teenager from Pune (Maharashtra) has created the most beautiful and detailed pictures of the moon. This young man has used 50,000 images for this. Combining these pictures he made a very unique picture. Prathamesh Jaju describes himself as a novice astronomer and astrophotographer. He said that he processed a large number of images whose size was about 186 GB. Prathamesh says that his laptop lost his life in processing the image on such a large scale. When he completed it, the image was made of 50 megapixels. To make it visible on mobile, they reduced it to a lower scale. Compositing techniques are often used in photography. In this, images from different visual sources are assembled and applied in such a way that all those images look like part of the same scene.

Jaju has named it ‘HDR Last Quarter Mineral Moon’. The brown and blue-gray tones of the moon represent different mineral compositions on the lunar surface. Lunar craters can be clearly seen in extremely high resolution images.

In an Instagram post, Jaju said, “I captured 38 panels from the 1.2-megapixel ZWO ASI120MC-S (astro camera) at focal lengths of 1500mm and 300mm so that the image grew to be about 50 megapixels.”
They also used the Celestron 5 cassagrain optical tube assembly (used in telescopes where optics are set above the tripod).

Jaju has also posted this post on his Reddit account.
Many users appreciated this effort of Jaju.
Pooja Tolia, who describes herself as a star and filled the pictures of the moon on her Instagram account, said, “It’s a very smooth mix. Great!”

One person, who runs an account on Reddit under the name of “birds.bees.trees.things”, wrote, “Just saw you on Reddit, your photos are really incredible.” Many of the birds on this person’s Reddit account There are beautiful pictures.

The last quarter of the moon appears one week after the full moon. Half of it shines with sunlight while half hides in its own shadow. When viewed from the Earth, we are able to see the moon half-shining. It is also called the Third Quarter Moon which rises in the middle of the night. It appears at the highest time at dawn and sets off in the afternoon.
