An alleged screenshot of a smartphone with model number RMX2176, according to a report by the Chinese publication MyDrivers, shows the AnTuTu benchmark score with a MediaTek Dimension 800U chipset. It is the model number of Realme X7 and has a score of 341,298 in the benchmark test, which is an impressive score for a mid-range chipset. The score of Realme phone has been claimed to be in the same category as Qualcomm’s 2018 flagship chipset, Snapdragon 845. The MediaTek Dimension 800 U reportedly competes against the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G and the MediaTek Helio P90.
The MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset was launched earlier this month and comes with 5G connectivity. The chipset includes a total of eight cores with the ARM Mali G57 MC3 GPU. According to the MediaTek website, the chipset has four Cortex-A76 cores, which supports maximum clock speeds up to 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores, with a maximum clock speed of 2 GHz. It can support LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage up to 12 GB. The GPU is the Mali-G57 MC3, with a maximum supported display resolution of 2,520 x 1,080 pixels.
The Dimension 800U chipset is based on the 7 nm architecture and supports up to 120 Hz display. Both Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro will reportedly come with 120Hz AMOLED display and 5G connectivity.
The launch of the Realme X7 series will begin in China on September 1 at 2 pm CST Asia (11:30 am Indian time). Rumors suggest that the new phone will have 65 watt fast charging support and will weigh less than 200 grams. The Realme X7 Pro is said to come with a 4,500mAh battery and the Realme X7 may include a 4,300mAh battery. The phone reportedly will come with a gradient back design.
