Redmi K40 phone with world’s smallest selfie camera cutout will be launched on February 25, know the price

The Redmi K40 will be launched on 25 February. This information has been shared by Redmi’s general manager Lu Weibing through Weibo. Weibing has shared a teaser poster, which suggests that this upcoming upgrade of Redmi K30 launched in December 2019 will be launched later this month. Apart from Redmi K40, this series will also include Redmi K40 Pro. However, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed the Pro variants. The Redmi 40K is expected to come with different chipset options like MediaTek and Qualcomm.

Lu Weibing shared a picture on Weibo, showing the retail box of the Redmi K40. The executive also mentioned that the phone will come with a redesigned and improved experience. However, he has not yet given the exact specifications.

Redmi K40 price

Weibing confirmed the February launch last month, stating that the Redmi K40 will be launched at an initial price of 2,999 Chinese yuan (about Rs 34,000).

Redmi K40 specifications (expected)

Earlier this week, Weibing revealed that the Redmi K40 would come with the “smallest” selfie camera hole cutout, stereo speakers, and “tremendous” battery life. The phone will come with a flat display, which can have a full-HD + (1,080×2,400 pixels) panel.

Weibing also confirmed that the Redmi K40 series will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. However, a recent report suggested that the Redmi K40 could also come with a sub-flagship chipset in the series.

The Redmi K40 series will have 33W fast charging support. Along with the standard, a Pro variant is also expected in the series, which may be equipped with a 108-megapixel primary rear camera.
