Kacper Skrzypek, a member and tipsster of XDA Developers, has shared internal codes, indicating that the Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 phones will not be launched under the Poco brand in India. The code ‘aliothin’ is mentioned in the smartphone codename, whose model number is M2012K11AI. This indicates that this phone may be named Mi 11X. Redmi’s 40 codename ‘alioth’ and its ‘in’ indicate its launch in India. This can lead to speculation that Redmi’s 40 smartphones may be launched in India as Mi 11X and not as Poco F3.
Similarly, Skrzypek has shared a screenshot of another code, which has the smartphone’s name along with the Mi 11X Pro. It can be assumed that it will be a rebranded version of Redmi K40 Pro in the Indian market. Apart from this, there is also a third SmartPhone, named Mi 11i, it was spotted in the code but the phone’s codename was ‘haydn_pro_global’, it had the word ‘global’ instead of ‘in’. The codename of Redmi K40 Pro + is ‘haydn_pro’ and this codename indicates that this phone may knock in the global market as Mi 11i. It may also mean that it came with the same name in the Indian market, but it is not confirmed in the code at the moment.
Xiaomi has not provided any information regarding the smartphone launch of the Mi 11 series at the moment, so in this case this news can be considered as a mere rumor.
