Work on the Redmi Note 10 is in progress. Now a new report has claimed that the alleged Redmi smartphone will have a 108-megapixel primary camera. This will be the first Redmi smartphone to come with a camera sensor of this resolution. A noted tipster hinted at the Chinese microblogging site Weibo that a phone with a model number ending in ‘J17’ will come with a 108-megapixel sensor. A separate tipster claims that the much-awaited Redmi Note 10 series may come with the M2007J17C model number. Tipster has also claimed that the Redmi Note 10 could be launched in China this month.

The Tipster digital chat station posted a puzzle on Weibo indicating that the Redmi Note 10 will have a 108-megapixel primary camera. The post indicated that there is a phone with ‘J17’ at the end of its model number. It can come with 108 megapixel camera. Tipster has not made any claims regarding the name of the phone.

In a separate post on Weibo, another tipster has indicated that the model number of the Redmi Note 10 series may be M2007J17C. This tipster, quoting industry sources, has speculated that this model number belongs to the Redmi brand. Presumably this phone will be Redmi Note 10. The post further states that this phone is expected to be introduced in October 2020.

It is a hint that the phone that Digital Chat Station is talking about may be Redmi Note 10. If the Redmi Note 10 handset actually comes with 108 megapixel camera then it will be a huge upgrade compared to Redmi Note 9 which is equipped with 48 megapixel quad rear camera setup. The Redmi Note 10 is expected to have several cameras on the back, but its primary camera is claimed to be 108 megapixels.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav had claimed last month that the Redmi Note 10 handset would indeed be a rebranded avatar of the Mi 10T Lite launched in September. He also used the M2007J17C model number for the Redmi Note 10. While the M2007J17G model number is of Mi 10T Lite.
