Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma’s automobile company Revolt Intellicorp currently has two electric bikes in its portfolio, which have received a great response in the market. One of these is RV300 and the other is RV400. Now, as per the latest report, Revolt Motors promoter Rattan India is planning to replace the affordable RV300 electric bike with the new RV1 electric bike this year. The upcoming bike will be cheaper than the current bike. However, its specifications have not yet been veiled. The exact time of launch has also not been given, but it is said that the production of Revolt RV1 will start from January next year.

In a statement to PTI, Anjali Rattan of Rattan India said, “By December this year, our product will be completely Make-in-India. We have been importing parts from China, but now we are from India. We are focusing on supplying each one. Production of the new bike will start in January 2022.” Ratan further added that the demand for electric bikes from Revolt Motors is increasing and this is the reason why the company has stopped bookings several times in the last two months. Let us tell you that the company has not offered the RV300 for sale for the last several months, but the booking has been closed within some time from the opening of the booking of RV400.

Ratan also told that the company aims to make five lakh bikes annually in the next five years. Following the latest changes made to the government’s FAME II scheme, the Revolt RV400 has received a price cut and is currently priced at Rs 90,799 (ex-showroom Delhi). Regarding the price of the upcoming RV1, Ratan said that the price of this electric bike in India is very likely to be between Rs 75,000 and Rs 80,000.

The Revolt RV1 will be completely indigenously built and no parts will be imported from abroad. The bike will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Manesar, Haryana. Being locally made will help the company keep its cost to a minimum.

The company also announced on July 25 that Domino’s Pizza was acquiring the entire stock of RV 300 electric bikes. So that he can replace the petrol models in his fleet with electric bikes.
