The Samsung Newsroom site has launched a launch invite for the Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event, which will begin on September 1 at 10 am ET (7:30 pm in India). In this event, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be launched. Samsung had announced the existence of Galaxy Z Fold 2 while launching the Galaxy Note 20 series earlier this month and said that it would be launched later.
At the time, Samsung had reported that the phone would include an Infinity-O display panel and ultra-thin glass (UTG) protection. The company also said that the phone will come with a 120Hz refresh rate and will include a 4,500mAh dual intelligent battery. This foldable phone will come with 5G support.
Although its price has not been revealed, the Samsung UK retail site has listed the Galaxy Z Fold 2 for pre-order, where its price and shipment information are available. Max Weinbach of XDA Developers Tweet It was said that Samsung’s site is taking pre-booking of Galaxy Z Fold 2 for GBP 1,799 (about Rs. 1,75,400) and its shipment will start from 17 September.
While the price listed on the Samsung UK website is higher than the previous Galaxy Fold, but another WinFuture report suggests that the official price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 will be slightly lower than the Galaxy Fold. The report says that the Galaxy Fold was available in Europe for 2,100 euros (about Rs. 1,83,400), whereas, the Galaxy Z fold 2 could be priced at 1,999 euros (about Rs. 1,74,700).
