According to the latest report by WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, the instant messaging platform has introduced these changes for iOS beta v126.96.36.199 on TestFlight. In these updates, users will get a new user interface for calling, which will be similar to the FaceTime interface. This allows users to quickly find options, including a new Ring button right next to the username. In addition, the latest WhatsApp for iOS beta update is also testing the ability for people to join group calls even after group calls have been introduced.
According to WABetaInfo, if a user has accidentally or unintentionally missed a group call, then when they open WhatsApp after a while, they will know that the group call is still in progress, after which users will not be able to contact any member. With the help, you can automatically become a part of the group call. If you interrupt a call, WhatsApp will present you as an alert, without the need to enlist the help of another member to join the group call. To join the ongoing group call, WhatsApp will show you the Tap to join banner in the call tab and a Join call button will be given to the group from which the group call is made.
Both these features have been introduced in WhatsApp for iOS beta v188.8.131.52 and users can test them by updating to the latest version. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp may soon introduce these features in the Android beta as well. However, the timeline information is not clear at the moment.
