At the same time, the number of views of this video had crossed 98.3 million within 24 hours. However, YouTube later confirmed that the video’s official view count was 101.1 million.
As we mentioned ‘Dynamite’ also holds the record for the most viewed YouTube premiere, the premiere was watched live by more than three million people.
The record for the most viewed video within 24 hours was earlier titled Black How You Like That by Blackpink, which was released in June. The video track was viewed by 86.3 million people within 24 hours. It became the fastest YouTube video to surpass the 100 million mark in YouTube’s history in 1.5 days. In comparison, BTS’s April release Boy with Luv crossed the figure in 1.6 days. However, with the latest release, BTS has proved its popularity on YouTube.
Significantly, Big Hit Labels shared a 28-second teaser video on its official YouTube channel on August 18 to create excitement among people about the Dynamite song. Till now, this teaser has received 61 million views. At the same time, Big Hit Labels started a live countdown on August 20, half an hour before the official launch of Dynamite Song, the music video was released at 12am EST (9.30 am Indian time).
Dynamite songs have so far received 174 million views on YouTube. At the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, BTS will be seen performing the dance number for the first time on TV, which will be on-air on 30 August.
