Zac Nelson of JerryRigEverything tested the Asus ROG Phone 5 on his YouTube channel. In its scratch test, marks begin to appear on the sixth level on the display. In addition, for rubber covers mounted on the charging port, Nelson says it cannot last long. The frame gets scratched easily, as it is made of metal and he noticed that the SIM tray also lacks the basic rubber linings to protect against water.
The fingerprint scanner also does not work after a scratch test, and Nelson was unable to register his thumb even after several attempts. When he did a flame test on its display, he noticed that the screen of Asus ROG Phone 5 had a white stain in 30 seconds, but it also recovered soon.
Now the real test of strength came when Nelson caught the phone from both sides and tried to twist. A large crack occurred near the antenna lines in applying the first thrust. It also affected the phone’s vibration motor. After this, under some pressure, the phone’s display became completely useless and the frame of the phone was also completely broken. Finally, when the phone was folded from the other side, the back panel of Asus ROG Phone 5 was completely broken. Nelson says that in such basic band test maximum phones are saved, but Asus’s ROG Phone 5 failed miserably. Let us know that Asus ROG Phone 5 Series has been launched in India at an initial price of Rs 49,999 and its top model comes for Rs 79,999.
