Volvo’s XC40 Recharge is similar in appearance to the XC40, but as the term recharge suggests, it is an electric car. However, the company has tried to retain the premium feel like the XC40 in this car. Like most electric cars, its recharge socket is fitted to the fuel lid. To make it look slightly different from the XC40, the company has changed its grille.
Talking about the specifications and features, the XC40 Recharge has two electric motors, which generate 408PS power and 660Nm torque. As we said, Volvo has used a huge 78kWh battery in the car, due to which it can extract a range of 400Km. Although the certified range is 335Km. To charge this battery, the company has come out with two types of chargers. The first is a standard charger, which is an 11kW AC charger and the second is a 150kW DC fast charger. Thanks to the fast charger, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in 40 minutes.
A new infotainment system has been given in the electric ‘Recharge’ variant compared to the standard XC40, which is based on Google’s Android OS. Apart from this, the company has also given its digital connected service platform ‘Volvo On Call’.
