Vi users will now be able to watch movies and shows on rent, introduced new service in partnership with Hungama

Vi (Vodafone Idea) on Monday announced its partnership with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment, with which the company launched a premium video on demand (PVoD) service on its Vi Movies and TV app. After this new tie-up, Vi subscribers can rent any movie and show for up to 48 hours. Let me tell you, the Vi Movies and TV app also includes the option to cast films on the big screen. Which means that in addition to watching movies under the pay-per-view model on their smartphones, Vi subscribers can also watch their favorite movies on the TV screen.

After this new announcement of Vi, users will get access to more than 380 movies. These include Tenet, one of the most popular science-fiction films of 2020, which was released globally in August last year while it was launched in India in December.

Apart from English films, the PVoD service offered by Vi and Hungama also includes three Indian languages… Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. With Tenet, you can watch other 2020 popular movies for 48 hours under this service, for which you will have to pay 120 rupees. However, the remaining films are also available for Rs 60.

Some of the films available through the partnership of Vi and Hungama, among others, will include Aquaman, Birds of Prey, Joker and Scoob, among others, Tenet and other films.

The PVoD model will be available on the Vi Movies and TV app along with the current entertainment offering. However, unlike the latest models, entertainment recharge packs and postpaid plans are available for free.
