Telecom Talk claims that Vi, which we know as Vodafone Idea, has started its Wi-Fi calling service (Vi Wi-Fi Service Delhi) in Delhi. Including Delhi, the company has now started this service in five circles.
Keep in mind that to take advantage of the Wi-Fi calling service, it is necessary to have Wi-Fi calling support in your mobile phone, which is currently very limited in the case of Vi. This means that you will not be able to experience new updates on all smartphones available in the market.
The report by Telecom Talk further states that the Wi-Fi calling service offered by Vi currently supports OnePlus and Xiaomi smartphones. However, the operator can extend support over time to many other smartphones. The company plans to introduce Wi-Fi calling to all its customers in a phased manner.
Apart from this, another news has come that Vi (Vodafone Idea) has started giving 3GB daily data to select customers in its prepaid recharge plans of Rs 249, Rs 399 and Rs 599. In particular, 1.5GB daily data is available in these packs. However, the report claimed that this benefit is currently being extended to select users in some other regions including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
Gadgets 360 was not able to confirm the rollout of this 3GB daily data offer until the news was written.
