Xiaomi claims to sell 14 million smartphones of Redmi Note series

More than 14 crore units of Redmi Note series have been sold globally, Xiaomi himself has announced this through Chinese micro blogging website Weibo. The company has also informed through its Redmi account that the Redmi Note 8 series has become the second best selling smartphone series in the first half of the year 2020. The Redmi Note 8 series was launched in August last year, and by May 2020 Globally had sold 3 crore handsets of this series.

Xiaomi made public the information via Weibo that according to the Xiaomi data platform, more than 14 crore units of Redmi Note series have been sold globally. The Redmi Note 8 series includes smartphones such as Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Redmi Note 8T. In May this year, more than 3 crore handsets of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro were sold. The Redmi Note 9 series includes Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphones, but Xiaomi has not provided sales data for the Redmi Note 9 series.

Apart from this, there are also reports that the company is also planning to expand its Redmi Note 9 series, which may include the Redmi Note 9 5G and Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G smartphones. There is also speculation that this series will also include a third phone called Redmi Note 9T, but at present the company has not made any official announcement in this regard.

It is possible that Xiaomi can launch the Redmi Note 5G phone on 24 November in China. At the moment, it is also not clear whether this phone will be brought to India or not.
