The Gizmochina report says that the specifications of the tablet have been leaked along with the alleged renders of the Mi Pad 5. These are the initial renders of this device. Let it be said that Xiaomi has not officially announced any kind of announcement about this device yet. In such a situation, understanding them as completely true will not be right now. However, if we consider it as true at the moment, the renders reveal that it will have a dual rear camera setup, which corresponds to the Mi 11 to a large extent.
Information about specifications is also given in the leak. The device will have a 2K LCD display panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, which will support 480Hz touch sampling rate. The report further states that the dual rear camera setup included in the back of the Mi Pad 5 will have a 20-megapixel main camera and a 13-megapixel secondary camera sensor. Its main sensor will be Sony IMX586.
The fingerprint sensor will be provided in the power button of the tablet and it will support magnetic stylus. The leak states that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 will be powered by Snapdragon 870 processor, which will be equipped with multiple RAM and storage configurations.
Surprisingly, this is the first leak of Mi Pad 5 and the price of the tablet has also been given in it. The tablet’s 8GB + 128GB variants 3,999 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 45,500), 8GB + 256GB variants 4,299 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 49,000), 12GB + 512GB variants 4,999 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 57,000) and 16GB + 1TB variants 5,499 Chinese Yuan (approx. 62,500).
At present, Xiaomi has not shared any information about Mi Pad 5. But even so, if we trust this leak, it certainly appears to be a premium tablet, with which the company plans to compete with the premium tablets of Huawei, Samsung and Apple.
