Alleged prototype of Google Pixel 7 Pro spotted months ahead of official debut;  Design, RAM and Storage Tipped


Google Pixel 7 Pro – the company’s upcoming flagship smartphone to launch later this year – has been seen in live images online. The company leaked the previous design of the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones at its Google I/O keynote in May, while revealing that the handsets will be powered by the next-generation Tensor chipset. Alleged leaked photos of the Google Pixel 7 Pro prototype have surfaced days after the smaller Pixel 7 appeared on eBay. Both the phones were earlier tipped to offer similar display specifications to the Google Pixel 6 series.

In the leaked images, the rear design of the alleged Google Pixel 7 Pro handset is shown, complete with the new metal rear camera module on top that extends to both sides of the phone. Last month, Google revealed the rear design of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, which is expected to replace the rear glass camera module with a metal design. The images also reveal that the smartphone is equipped with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB storage.

It’s worth noting that the device information page lists the handset as “Cubot Cheetah 2” – the name of a old handset From the manufacturer Cubot, which was launched a few years back is powered by MediaTek chipset and runs on Android 6. As per previous reports, the Google Pixel 7 is codenamed “Cheetah”, while the Pixel 7 Pro is codenamed “Panther”.

Earlier this week, an alleged prototype of the Pixel 7 was spotted on eBay after a seller tipped the smartphone to a dark black obsidian color option. At the time, a sneak peek of the Pixel 7 Pro was also spotted on the rear panel of the alleged Pixel 7 prototype. Both the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 7 handsets spotted online have the same logo on the rear panel.

According to the previous report, the company’s upcoming Pixel 7 series may have the same display as the current Pixel 6 series. Google is yet to reveal additional details about the Pixel 7 Pro specifications, other than the fact that it will be powered by a new Tensor chipset. The smartphone is expected to debut later this year alongside the Pixel 7 – probably in October.
