How to Print to PDF on Android

Printing files to PDF is a useful feature. You can use it for things like storing a web page that you need – like a page showing your flight tickets or important source material you use for research. The site containing the research material you needed has been removed or sometimes you may not have an internet connection when you need to refer to it.

In all these cases, it might be a good idea to print stuff to PDF and save it locally on your Android device. The process itself is simple but before you can start printing files to PDF, you need to check a few things. The first is whether the app you are using supports printing. Some apps don’t, but most Google apps do.

Apps like Google Docs let you easily save as PDF – this means all your documents are taken care of. You can also save most files in your Google Drive account as PDFs, convert images to PDFs using Google Photos, or save entire web pages using Chrome.

If your app doesn’t support printing, you can try to back it up using Screenshots instead. Not all web pages can be printed to PDF either. When you open some web pages, such as Amazon’s shopping cart, the print option does not appear in the browser. But for most other pages, the Print option appears and lets you print to PDF. Here’s how to save as PDF on Android:

  1. Open the file or web page you want to print to PDF.
  2. tap three vertical points icon at the top-right.
  3. tap impression,
  4. tap choose printer,
  5. tap save as pdf,
  6. tap save icon,
  7. Now you can select the location where you want to save the file and tap save,
