Apple is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Steve Jobs with a special homepage takeover on its website that commemorates the company’s co-founder. The homepage welcomes visitors with a short video that includes pictures of Jobs and his inspirational quotes. There has also been a statement from the Jobs family to express their loss. The Apple co-founder died in 2011 at his Palo Alto, California home – years after being diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer.
special homepage acquisition shows a montage on apple.com containing various monochrome shots of Jobs, with a text superimposed that read, “Celebrating Steve.” Apple has also included a link to a nearly three-minute video that features some of the executive’s most memorable quotes from nostalgia for Jobs, as well as his voiceover.
Scrolling down a bit, the homepage shows a statement from the Jobs family in his memory. “For a decade now, bereavement and healing have gone together. Our gratitude has become as big as our loss,” it reads.
The full text of the statement is given below.
For a decade now, bereavement and healing have gone together. Our gratitude has become equal to our loss.
Each of us has found our way to solace, but we have come together in a beautiful place of love for Steve, and what he has taught us.
For all of Steve’s gifts, it was his strength as a teacher that has endured. He taught us to be open to the beauty of the world, to be curious about new ideas, to look around the corner, and above all to be humble in our own primal mind.
There are many things that we still see with his eyes, but he also taught himself to see. He gave us the tools to live, and it has served us well.
One of our biggest sources of consolation has been Steve’s association with beauty. The sight of something beautiful – a wooded hill, a well-made object – reminds us of its soul. Even in his years of suffering, he never lost his faith in the beauty of existence.
Memory is insufficient for what is in our hearts: we miss it deeply. We were blessed to have him as husband and father.
Although it has been ten years since Jobs passed away in October 2021, the industry still remembers the executive for the ups and downs in his professional life.
Jony Ive, former Apple design chief, on Monday wrote a memory Jobs’s friend and colleague for The Wall Street Journal’s WSJ. magazine. “My understanding of him refuses to be comfortable or stable,” he said.
Apple CEO Tim Cook also posted a tweet in memory of Jobs, quoting him. “‘People with passion can change the world for the better.’- SJ.”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk also paid tribute to Jobs, expressing his desire to speak with him during his stay. The billionaire responded to a tweet that cited an article around the 10th death anniversary of the Apple co-founder and Told“I wish I had a chance to talk to him.”
Jobs co-founded Apple with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne in 1976 to build the next generation of personal computers. However, the technology company expanded in later years and added iPod touch, iPhone and iPad as some new products.
