Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has once again extended the six paise cashback offer in the country. This cashback offer was announced last year, and has seen several extensions since then. The last deadline was set July 31, but the telco has now extended this cashback benefit till August 31. BSNL offers this cashback only to landline, broadband or fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) users. This expansion announcement comes days after BSNL launched two new data packs priced at Rs. 151 and Rs. 251 in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circle.
BSNL Tamil Nadu tweeted That the offer of six paise cashback has once again been extended till August 31. For those unaware, the state-owned telecom operator is offering 6 paise cashback to all its broadband and landline customers for making at least five minutes of voice calls. This promotional offer was introduced last year to retain its customer base, but due to the current coronavirus crisis, it has now been seen in several expansions. BSNL has confirmed to Gadgets 360 that this extension is applicable in all circles where this offer was launched earlier.
BSNL offers a maximum cashback of Rs. 50 per month to landline, broadband, or fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) customers. To activate the offer, BSNL customers need to send a text message to 09478053334 with their STD code along with the eligible phone number “ACT” and “6PAISA”. Alternatively, it can be enabled by calling the toll-free number 18005991900. BSNL also mentions the number of 1500 for customers in Tamil Nadu circle.
BSNL has called this cashback promotion ‘5 Pe 6’ offer and it was initially launched in November to take a jibe at Reliance Jio’s sudden decision to charge six paise per minute on voice calls from other telecom operators. Since then, the offer has seen several extensions, and the telco has made it even easier by offering an SMS option in addition to activation through toll-free calling.
As mentioned, BSNL also recently introduced new WFH data STVs at a price of Rs. 151 and Rs. 251. Rs. 151 prepaid plan comes with 40GB data cap and 30 days validity. Rupee. The 251 pack, on the other hand, comes with a 70GB data cap for the same validity of 30 days. Both the packs offer only data benefits, and to avail talktime and SMS benefits, BSNL customers will have to recharge separately.
