Zoom fixes connectivity issues after over 40,000 users reported the issue

Zoom, one of the most popular video-calling apps, issued a statement on Thursday evening after thousands of users reported problems with the platform on downdetector.com. After over 40,000 complaints about problems while working on the video-conferencing platform, Zoom assured its users that it is actively working to resolve the issue. Within an hour, the platform made another announcement to inform that the problem has been fixed and users can no longer face the difficulty. Issues were reported from around the world including India.

As of Thursday evening, around 40,377 users reported facing problems on Zoom. downdetector, In India, these issues were encountered between 8 pm and 9.30 pm Indian time.

While most of the complaints were about difficulties in connecting to conferences or meetings, users also faced problems while logging in and in server connection.

Soon after, Zoom issued a statement on Twitter, assuring users that it is aware of the issue and is actively working to fix it. The video-conferencing platform also informed that its engineering team is engaged in the investigation of the matter.

Within another hour, the company updated the status with another tweet, informing users that the problem had been fixed and the app should now work properly for everyone.
