Apple on Wednesday launched its second generation AirPods Pro, or AirPods Pro (2nd generation), at its ‘Far Out’ event. Like the company’s first-generation high-end true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones that made their debut in 2019, the new AirPods Pro 2 come with inbuilt speakers with Find My support. AirPods Pro (2nd generation) is equipped with a new Apple H2 chip that the company says offers better noise cancellation and support for personalized spatial audio. The earphones offer up to 6 hours of battery life and an additional 30 hours with the charging case. According to the company, they also support wireless charging along with support for Apple’s MagSafe.

Apple AirPods Pro (2nd generation) is priced at $249 (approximately Rs 19,850). Its price in India is Rs. 26,900. The company’s latest TWS earphones will be available to order from Apple online stores From September 9, customers can buy them from September 23.
Back in 2019, Apple unveiled AirPods Pro, priced at Rs. 24,900 in India. Apple has also announced that the AirPods are now priced at Rs. 19,900 and Rs. 20,900 with MagSafe Charging Case.

The successor to the first generation AirPods Pro that was launched in 2019 is powered by the Apple H2 chip. According to Apple, the new earphones offer support for personalized spatial audio with Dolby Atmos and head tracking, which can be customized by the user. The AirPods Pro (2nd generation) feature a custom high-excursion driver for improved audio quality, as well as a force sensor for pressure control located along the stem of the earphones.
They are claimed to offer double the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) functionality when compared to the previous generation AirPods Pro. On the connectivity front, the new AirPods Pro (2nd generation) is expected to feature Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, according to the Cupertino firm. They will also feature support for skin detection via a sensor to recognize when the earbuds are in the user’s ear, a motion-detecting accelerometer to automatically start or stop media playback, and speech- With detecting accelerometer. The earbuds and charging case have an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance.
Apple says the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) offers 6 hours (33 percent extra) of listening time compared to its predecessor. Users can get up to 30 hours of battery life, which is an increase of 6 hours with a full charge. According to the company, the earphones can be charged via a Lightning cable, wirelessly with a Qi-certified charger and with Apple’s proprietary MagSafe charging protocol. According to Apple, the earphones measure 30.9×21.8x24mm and weigh 5.3 grams, while the case measures 45.2×60.6×21.7mm and weighs 50.8 grams.
