Actor Brittany Snow and “Sailing the OC” star Tyler Stanland announced on Wednesday that they are separating after two years of marriage.
“After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” the “Pitch Perfect” star wrote on Instagram. “This decision was made with love and mutual respect for each other. We have realized that we need to take some time and make sure that we are each living our most complete and authentic life.
“We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and privacy as we navigate this new chapter. We do. “
Stanland posted the same statement on his Instagram.
The couple, who met in 2018, got engaged in 2019 and tied the knot in March 2020.
The news comes three weeks after the premiere of Netflix’s “Sailing Sunset” spinoff, “Sailing the OC.” Stanland was at the center of a major drama involving one of his co-workers, Kayla Cardona, who apparently tried to kiss him on several occasions. The incident caught fire among other artists, many of whom joined.
Stanland originally pursued a career as a professional surfer before joining his father’s luxury real estate business. After 12 years with the family business, he joined the Oppenheim group, which launched his reality TV career.
