Last to the last, the queen’s corgis and pony saw her pass

Royal corpses await Cortez on the day of Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral

Windsor:

Queen Elizabeth’s black pony Emma watches the monarch’s funeral procession on the grounds of Windsor Castle, where it was led by a groom.

Two of the Queen’s corpses, Sandy and Muick, were also brought out for the arrival of the coffin at the palace, where Elizabeth was later to be buried after a grand state funeral.

The dogs, kept on leash by the palace staff, waited patiently in the palace courtyard.

The queen, who died at the age of 96 this month after ascending the throne at the age of 96, had a lifelong love of chicken and horses and has enjoyed horseback riding for the rest of her life. Their second son, Prince Andrew, will now look after the dogs.
