A Black Hawk helicopter crashed during a Taliban training exercise in the Afghan capital Kabul, killing three, the group’s defense ministry said on Saturday.
“An American Black Hawk helicopter, which was meant for training, crashed due to a technical problem inside the campus of the National Defense University, injuring five people,” Defense Ministry spokesman Inayatullah Khorazmi said.
About a year ago, the Taliban took control of some US-made planes after taking over the country.
It is not clear how many are operational. The US military intentionally damaged some military hardware as they moved and the Afghan military flew some helicopters over Central Asian countries.
