How to make Vari Rice Kheer

First of all, soak the Vari rice in water for 1/2 hour.

Turn off the gas.

Add crushed cardamom to the kheer and mix.

How to thicken rice kheer?

To thicken the kheer, cook it for a little longer on low flame. Rice contains starch, hence when cooked, the starch is released from it and the kheer becomes thick. If you want to thicken the kheer without cooking it for a long time, then mix 2 teaspoons of rice flour and 3 to 4 teaspoons of milk well in a bowl and add it to the cooking kheer. After cooking for about 15 minutes, the kheer will become thick. To thicken the kheer, one spoonful of roasted salt can also be added to it.
