The new generation Kia Sonet has been spotted testing on Indian roads several times, and now its first major design images of the facelifted Sonet without any camouflage have surfaced. However, it is going to be introduced with many different changes from the picture seen in the Indian market.

The new generation facelift is going to get many great updates compared to the old version. This is going to be the first mid-life update of the Kia Sonet since its launch in September 2020. We are going to see many cosmetic changes in the new generation. At the front, it will get a newly designed front bumper along with new LED headlight units, which will remain largely similar to its current version.

Apart from this, it is being operated with a new bumper and new LED daytime running lamps and fog lamps. It is being presented with a fresh look on the front. If we look closely at the images, we can also see an updated grille.

Although the company has changed its size in foreign countries, but in the Indian market it is going to be within 4 meters only. Whereas at the rear also, the company has now got a thick bumper with a new connected LED taillight unit and a skid plate with silver finish, which further enhances its look. Looks even bolder and more aggressive than the current version.

However, when it is launched in India, it will also feature newly designed diamond cut alloy wheels.

Although no spy images of the cabin have been revealed yet, the company is going to make some great cosmetic changes in its cabin as well. It is expected to get new premium leather seats and central council with a newly designed central council. Apart from this, it will now also have the facility of AC vents along with USB Type C port for the rear passengers. Its new seat is going to be very comfortable.

Among the features, the new generation is going to get a digital instrument cluster with a large touch screen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay connectivity with wireless Android Auto. While other highlights include dual zone climate control, electronic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless mobile charging, cruise control, ventilated seat with height eligible driver seat, excellent sound system, and paddle shifters.

The company is now going to present it with more excellent features in terms of security features. It is expected to get 7 airbags as standard, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill haul assist, hill descent control, excellent 360 degree camera, and ISOFIX child seat anchors with reverse parking sensors.

However, the company is not going to make any changes in its engine option. It will continue to be powered with its current engine option.

1.0 liter turbo petrol engine which generates 120 bhp and 172 Nm torque. This engine option is offered with 6 speed iMT and 7 speed DCT gearbox. The second 1.2 liter petrol engine which generates 83 bhp and 115 Nm of torque, is mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. And the last one is the 1.5 liter diesel engine which generates 115 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, it is mated to 6 speed iMT and six speed automatic transmission.

However, it is expected that we are going to see better mileage options in the new generation as compared to the old generation.
