Along with this, the handlebar also looks like a bicycle. Royal Enfield is planning to launch it. Eicher Motors had registered it in India in 2020 under the name Royal Enfield Flying Flea trademark. And this name is Veda till February 2030. It is possible that it will be seen in India very soon.

Royal Enfield Flying Flea History

Its history shows that the Flying Flea was a 125cc motorcycle. It was designed to be used in the fight against the Nazis during the latter stages of World War II. However the basic concept of the bike was based on a German idea. But with a series of events the bike has been re-imagined as a 125cc unit to be manufactured by Royal Enfield.

Flying Flea The official name was WD/RE. But this popularity was achieved by the name of Flying Flea. It is so named because the bike was designed to be dropped from the air by parachute. It was usually used beyond enemy lines. It was to be used by troops for reconnaissance and communication between various dispersed airborne units. Hence its name has become Flying Flea.

You will be surprised to know that the total weight of Royal Enfield Flying Flea was 56 kg. Therefore it was easy for soldiers to take it anywhere. With a fuel tank capacity of 1.5 gallons the bike could travel 150 kilometers before refueling. And its maximum speed (top speed) was 35 to 40 kilometers per hour.

The fuel had a low compression piston. Due to which the bike could run comfortably even with poor quality fuel. The bike also had special features like landing foot pegs, horizontally rotating handlebar, long seat and leak-proof fuel tank lid.
