New Mahindra Bolero CNG: Mahindra is the largest SUV manufacturer in the Indian market. Their vehicles are mostly in high demand, with a waiting period of several months. Mahindra has Bolero, Neo Bolero, Scorpio N, Scorpio Classic and XUV700, XUV300 and also a great off roading Mahindra Thar in its lineup. But till now they do not have even a single CNG vehicle available. Such news is coming out that Mahindra is now going to work on electric as well as CNG segment. For which Mahindra is first going to introduce its popular Bolero in CNG avatar.

Mahindra Bolero CNG engine

Currently Mahindra Bolero is powered with a 1.5 liter diesel engine, generating 75 bhp and 210 Nm of torque. This engine option is only offered with a five-speed manual transmission. And it is expected that this engine option will be offered with the CNG version. Although no information has been revealed about the power output yet, it is also going to be operated with 5 speed manual transmission. This is going to be Mahindra's first factory fitted CNG SUV.

Presently Mahindra Bolero claims a mileage of 16 kmpl, but after installation of CNG it is going to give a mileage of around 25 to 30 kmpl.

The company is going to offer it only in CNG version, apart from this we are not going to see any other changes. It is going to continue operating with all its current designs in future also. It is going to get the same old look at the front, which will have halogen headlight units with a chunky bumper. Whereas the older generation at the back is also going to be normal. Among the features, Bolero is going to get Bluetooth connectivity, manual AC control, height adjustable seat, power windows, power steering, normal leather seats, music controls on the steering wheel in addition to AUX connectivity with digital instrument cluster. Mahindra Bolero is operated with normal music system. But the CNG version is also going to show the CNG range inside the instrument cluster.

In safety features, it gets two airbags at the front, anti-lock braking system, reverse parking sensor. Being a CNG version, it will now also get CNG leakage warning. Whereas at the rear, CNG is going to be well pressed. But now the jump set is going to lack leg room.

present Mahindra Bolero price in India starts from Rs 9.79 lakh and goes up to Rs 10.80 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. However, the prices of the CNG version will be increased by a few rupees.

There is no information about when it will be launched in the Indian market. But it is expected that it will be introduced by the end of this year or in the beginning of 2024.
